Respected Senators,
At the outset I wish to extend my sincere thanks to Hon’ble congressman Mr. Gregory Meeks for his proclamation and to Hon’ble senator Jon Corzine for his gracious help towards this grand release of my book "A Vision of Golden America" an achievable action plan. This book has been a cherished dream of my life.
Whenever I remember my childhood in Calcutta during the Second World War, I can still recollect the American GI’s staying at Grand Hotel, where my father had a Jewelry Shop. Since then, I have tried to closely observe the political and social fabric of American society in all these years.
This book is not a literary work, it is my endeavor to make a blue print to re-establish pristine glory that America had it in the first half of 20th century and how we can together make our America truly Golden. After great deliberation, I decided to dedicate this book to Mr. Thomas Jefferson the famous writer of declaration of independence and who could increase the size of America by twofold through a stroke of his pen, without getting a single soldier killed.
After having written this book, I strongly believe that it is high time, we need to instigate constructive dialog for discussing how we can together help implement the programs for the betterment of America.
To begin with the most important task for all of us is to analyze why terrorists hate America and execute the plan to make them love America.
Another important issue is to rejuvenate spiritual and moral values in our society for which I have suggested launch of an international TV channel "Happiness". This channel will go a long way in disseminating the knowledge of great thinkers and philosophers to the people of America to help them realize and fulfil their right of pursuit of happiness.
I have put forward the concept of a Free Virtual University in this book and I feel it imperative that America takes a lead in establishing this Global "Free Virtual University". This magnanimous action will help in extending the reach of advanced education to people all over the world. The proposed virtual university will not only revolutionize the college education but would render equal opportunities of learning to everyone, and would undoubtedly generate goodwill for America all across the globe.
It is a coincidence that last month on 19th August, Dr. R.B.Rybakov released my book "A Vision of Golden Russia" at the prestigious 37th International Oriental Congress in Moscow in presence of more than 750 delegates.
Today, I would like to express my special gratitude to my better-half Ratna Lunia with whose help I could realize this project successfully.
I have recently constituted non-profit organization called "Golden America Foundation" in New York. I invite all dignitaries present here to come forward and join me in my humble endeavor.
The basic purpose of this foundation will be to explore ways and means to help achieve new heights in human progress and strengthen American "Beacon of Hope" for mankind. I know this is not an easy job but I am sure that American ingenuity and support of our Indo-American society together will make it happen.
I am confident that World Business Forum will play an instrumental role in inducing harmonious and cordial relationship between America and India.
